BRYAN COMMENTS ON THE MIZ
WWE NXT rookie Daniel Bryan (formerly Bryan Danielson) appeared on "The B.J. Shea Morning Experience" radio show on 99.9 KISW in Seattle Tuesday morning to discuss the WWE NXT debut. Here's what Bryan said in response to the blog that The Miz posted where he said "Daniel Bryan looks like my accountant ... ordinary and bland.":

"So the deal with The Miz is that that’s how he’s gotten by. He’s very charismatic, he’s gone out there, he’s really good at making people hate him. How I’ve gotten by is a little bit different. I’ve been doing this for over ten years now and what I’ve gotten by and how I made my name is by being excellent in the ring, but that doesn’t mean what he’s saying isn’t partially correct, you know what I mean?

"There is this huge aspect there where for me it’s always been what goes on in the ring. And with the WWE...that’s a big part of it, it’s presenting yourself as a superstar. And when he said I look like an accountant, I kinda do! I don’t watch television, I don’t e-mail. He was asking me, 'What do you do with yourself?' and I said, 'Well, I read!' (Miz responded) 'What? Who reads?' It’s just one of those things where there’s going to be a learning curb there because it’s completely different then anything I’ve every done."

RAW 22ND FEBRUARY 2010

Out of nowhere is the music of Big Show & The Miz. Out come the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions. Miz cuts on the segment and says this show revolves around them, not some bullriding competition. Show says how hard can that be. Ty says Show can't do it. Show says he will smoke them Divas and walks down to the mechanical bull.

Show stretches before getting on the bull. He struggles getting up on it but makes it on. The bull starts and it throws Show off as soon as it starts. The Miz says that's not fair, the bull was going faster than it was for the Divas. Miz tries to calm Show down as Show stares at the mechanical bull. Show starts yelling at it. The bull bucks at Big Show, no lie. Big Show asks the bull if it wants some. Show dives into the bull and it stops moving. Miz calls it a knockout. Jewel calls it animal cruelty. Miz says that was another guest host segment ending in disappointment, like the Colts losing the Super Bowl. The crowd boo's Miz like crazy for this. Ty tells them they're going to be defending their Tag Team Titles next against MVP and Mark Henry.

WWE Unified Tag Team Title Match: The Miz & Big Show vs. MVP & Mark Henry
Back from the break and Justin Roberts introduces the Unified Tag Team Champions, Big Show & The Miz. We cut to backstage where Daniel Bryan, in a suit and tie, is watching the match on a big screen. Out come their opponents, MVP and Mark Henry. Henry is bandaged up from the Big Show attack at Elimination Chamber. MVP and Miz go at it to start the match with MVP on the offensive.

Show gets tagged in and goes at it with MVP. Show hits a huge spear on MVP and he goes down. Show with big chest chops in the corner on MVP now. Miz is tagged in now and comes in to work on MVP. MVP finally tags in Henry as Miz tags in Big Show. They go at it but collide in the corner. Henry hits a splash and they both go down. The referee is distracted as Miz comes in with a crossbody on Henry. Henry catches Miz and hits the World's Strongest Slam. Henry gets up and turns around to a knockout punch from Big Show for the win.

    ELIMINATION CHAMBER PPV

We go backstage with Josh Matthews, who talks about NXT. He's interviewing The Miz and asks him about Daniel Bryan. The Miz calls him an internet sensation and King of the Indies, but a guy with no personality, a loser and the first guy in line at a Star Wars convention. Miz says if Bryan listens to him, he will have the charisma and look to be a star in WWE. MVP walks up and says they agree on something, personality goes a long way in WWE. MVP talks about he and Henry beating ShowMiz in a non-title match on RAW. MVP informs Miz that he will be defending his Unnited States Title tonight.

WWE United States Title Match: The Miz vs. MVP
Out first for the next match is one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions and WWE United States Champion The Miz. His partner Big Show is with him. Out next is the challenger, MVP. Mark Henry comes out with MVP and they get a decent pop.

Miz and MVP stare each other down at the bell, with Miz talking smack. MVP responds with a slap to the face and he goes right to work, beating down Miz, sending him into the corner, stomping away at him. MVP hits a couple of knees to Miz's stomach, slams him down and hits a knee drop. MVP connects with an overhead belly to belly suplex and Miz rolls to the outside. MVP follows, and he slams Miz's head into the barricade before sending him back into the ring. Miz tries for a quick baseball slide, but MVP avoids it and connects with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Miz hits a back elbow and a kick to the side of the head, before raking at MVP's face with his boot.

MVP is able to fight back, and he locks in an interesting submission, focusing on Miz's arms, shoulders and neck. Miz is able to fight out of it as Big Show cheers along. Miz sends MVP into the corner and MVP tries for some kind of headscissors, but Miz comes back with a pretty cool looking gut buster. Miz chokes MVP against the middle rope, before running and jumping into MVP, hanging him up against the rope. Miz tries for the cover, but he can only get two. Miz locks in a rear chin lock, but MVP is able to fight out of it, only to be taken right back down to the mat.

MVP comes up with a small package out of nowhere, but Miz kicks out at two and comes back with a running knee. MVP comes up with another quick pin, but Miz kicks out at two and again goes right back to work, stomping, then punching MVP. Miz kicks at MVP's head, and MVP responds with a huge right hand out of nowhere. MVP buries his shoulder in Miz's midsection in the corner, but Miz is able to send MVP into the corner and hit a big clothesline that's good for a two count.

Miz locks in what looks to be a single arm camel clutch, but MVP fights out of it and hits an electric chair drop, bridging into a cover that's good for two. Miz and MVP trade blows, with Miz kicking at MVP's knee and hitting a low DDT that's good for a two count.

Miz locks in the submission again, but MVP stands up and backs Miz into the corner. MVP charges Miz in the corner, but Miz gets a boot up, then kicks MVP in the ribs. Miz chokes MVP against the bottom rope, before hitting a kick to the side of the face. Show jaws at MVP while he stands up. Miz hits his running dropkick in the corner, before climbing to the top rope. MVP is able to run into the ropes, throwing Miz off balance and crotching him on the top turnbuckle. MVP tries for a superplex, but Miz is able to fight it off, sending MVP down with a headbutt. Miz sets himself again, and MVP charges up, launching Miz with a super belly.

Miz looks to have busted his head open. MVP is a house of fire as he fights off Miz. MVP connects with the ballin elbow, and he goes for the cover, but Miz gets his foot on the rope. Big show pulls Miz to the outside, and MVP responds by hitting a baseball slide into Big Show's back. Show and Henry get into it on the outside, and Henry ends up charging through one of the ringside barricades. MVP is abel to hit a series of forearms on Miz, but he misses the Yakuza kick. Miz tries to take advantage, distracting the ref. Big Show hits the knockout punch on MVP. Miz covers MVP and this one is over.

JOHN MORRISON TALKS ABOUT MIZ MENTORING DANIELSON
IGN.com has a new interview up with John Morrison where he mentioned Miz when discussing the end of ECW and also gave his thoughts on Miz mentoring Bryan Danielson on WWE NXT.

As a former ECW Champion, what do you think about the ECW brand closing down?
I think it's the end of an era. But the ECW that people fell in love with in the late '90s has been gone for a while already. What I think ECW presented was a big opportunity for a lot of WWE superstars. Definitely me. It revitalized my entire career when I moved to ECW. I became the ECW champion, and it's when I started tagging with The Miz. CM Punk debuted on ECW. That's where he started also. So I think it's going to be sad to see it go. But the show that's replacing it, the NXT show – I think hopefully it's going to do the same thing for a lot of people. It's going to give a lot of people an opportunity. I can't remember everyone on there, but I know that Bryan Danielson is on there. He's going to be one of the new guys on the show. So I hope it will give people the chance to make it big in WWE just like ECW did.

You mentioned Bryan Danielson there. A lot of eyebrows are being raised at the fact that Danielson is going to be on the show as a rookie and that The Miz will be his mentor, despite Danielson's vast experience.
Yeah, when I saw that, I was at the ECW taping, and I actually saw Miz. He didn't know either until he saw the graphic on the screen. That he was the "Pro" and Bryan Danielson was the student. I walked by and said, "Pssh, he knows more that you do." And that's pretty much what everyone thinks. It's gonna be interesting and I think that's the point of it.
