MIZ BLOG: THOUGHTS ON NXT SEASON 2
Before NXT season one, I wrote a blog and this season will be no different. I want to give my opinion on NXT season one and NXT season two.

First off, I want to congratulate Wade Barrett. He was the ideal rookie; big, good looking, and could handle opponents in the ring as well as on the mic. I actually wasn't a fan of Wade's until the promo challenge which he killed. After that, I knew this guy would be a star. However, that didn't stop me from drawing all the attention of the show to Daniel Bryan, because let's face it, he failed in every challenge. So I made sure to berate him, making all of you puppets love him. The meaner I was, the more you cheered and the more the Pros voted him to win. When I was done, Daniel Bryan was voted No. 1 in the Pros' Poll and would have won the entire show but he didn't want it bad enough. He told the WWE Universe to vote him off like a coward; a person that couldn't take the pressure of being No. 1. Now what would any big company do to a person that didn't believe in themselves? They would get rid of them. So I ended having my No. 1 ranked Rookie get eliminated by management because he was an idiot. I made Daniel Bryan in WWE. I made him relevant. I made people care about him. However, I was still disappointed that my Rookie didn't win season one of NXT.

That is the reason that I am back for NXT season 2. I know I can win. I know given the right Rookie, one who will listen, there will be no stopping him. I actually went to WWE's training facility to find who I thought would be WWE’s breakout star and I found him. His name is Alex Riley. I know all of you internet nerds think Kaval is a "god" but you said the same about Daniel Bryan and look where that got him.

It will be interesting to see how the 50% vote from the Pros and 50% vote from the WWE.com fans plays out. It definitely brings a new element to the show. However, I can't say I'm excited to hear what hardygirl45’s opinion on WWE's next breakout star is. Regardless, NXT's season two show will be entertaining. Just look at the names; Lucky, Husky, Percy. Is this WWE or the "Little Rascals"? Just seeing Kaval come out to Lay-Cool’s music is enough for me to be excited about this Tuesday night.

All jokes aside, Alex Riley is the real deal. Just look at his introductory video. Compared to the rest of the Rookies, he's the one that looks the part, talks the part and is the part of NXT that you will all will want to watch. Alex Riley will prove to be better than all the rest including season 1 winner, Wade Barrett. As Alex’s Pro, I won't settle for anything other than a winner because I'm the Miz and I'm awesome!

NXT 8TH JUNE 2010

The WWE Universe was introduced to the eight new NXT Rookies and their WWE Pros on the season two premiere of WWE NXT. Tensions arose quickly, though, when the eight NXT Rookies entered the ring and their competitive sides came out.

John Morrison & Eli Cottonwood def. Zack Ryder & Titus O’Neil
NXT Rookie and former NBA player Eli Cottonwood revealed his intense side and earned his first win when paired with his WWE Pro, John Morrison. The Monday Night Delight welcomed O’Neil to WWE NXT with Starship Pain, securing his tag team victory. Morrison told the WWE Universe that he thought Cottonwood held his own in his first WWE NXT match, but WWE Pro The Miz wasn’t impressed: “I’m not entertained. You failed.”

The WWE Pros, the NXT Rookies and the WWE Universe took another look at the carnage caused the previous night by the season one NXT Rookies. The first WWE NXT graduating class made a surprise attack on Raw, destroying anything and everything in their path, including WWE Champion John Cena, WWE employees, announcers and the entire ring.

WWE NXT host Matt Striker offered the season two NXT Rookies a chance to offer their thoughts on the attack. Kaval called the season one NXT Rookies’ actions “unbelievable,” but he said that’s the way to make a statement in WWE. Lucky Cannon said they acted “cowardly,” but Eli Cottonwood believed Cena deserved the shocking assault.

Then, Striker officially “welcomed” the season two NXT Rookies to WWE. Just as WWE Pro and “Co-Women’s Champion” Layla looked like she’d offer Kaval a hug, she instead slapped her NXT Rookie, prompting a brawl. The WWE Pros tossed their protégés from the ring, as WWE Pro Mark Henry delivered a devastating World’s Strongest Slam to NXT Rookie Titus O’Neil. The WWE Pros sent a very loud and clear message – if any NXT Rookies wish to follow in the footsteps of the season one graduates, it will NOT happen in the season two WWE NXT ring under their watch.

WWE HONORS STUDENT ATHLETES BEFORE RAW
WWE superstar The Miz helped honor North Miami's Andres Cruz, Hollywood's Austin Lima and Weston's Sam Sherman during a special meet-and-greet before the WWE Monday Night Raw TV supershow on June 7 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

They were the winners of the WWE South Florida Raw Academics/Athletics program in conjunction with The Miami Herald. They exemplified hard work in the classroom and in sports.

Cruz did extraordinary at Linda Lentin K-8 Center. He competed for Pop Warner Football's Little River Saints. Lima was outstanding at Sheridan Park Elementary School. He competes for the Dania Beach Hurricanes water polo program and swims for South Florida Aquatics. Sherman excelled greatly at Gator Run Elementary School. He played baseball for the River Cats in Weston Area Little League.

This marked the first live WWE event for Cruz as he and Lima and Sherman enjoyed a three-hour Monday Night Raw special that was broadcast live on the USA Network.

Cast members of The A-Team movie were guest hosts, and WWE legends Mean Gene Okerlund, Rowdy Roddy Piper, IRS and the American Dream Dusty Rhodes participated in the program. The action ended with an exciting surprise attack by Generation NXT (Season 1).

The contest winners had a good time. They were commended for their work, resulting in standout marks.

    MIAMI NEW TIMES INTERVIEW
WWE Superstar the Miz Talks Broken Bones and Beating Down Lady Gaga
So you wanna know ... What is the Miz? Well, he's a hero. He's a villain. He's Mike Mizanin, a 29-year-old former frat boy turned reality TV star turned pro wrestler.

Or, the way he puts it: "What isn't the Miz? I like to say that the Miz is the grand Miz-ard of lust, demon of desire, personification of perfection, emperor of excellence, superhuman chick magnet, the greatest WWE Superstar to ever enter the ring. Is that enough?"

Indeed ... Suffice to say, dude's immune to crises of confidence. Yesterday, the New Times talked with the egomaniacal lothario about all-natural sex appeal, TV addiction, and WWE Monday Night Raw's June 7 stop in Miami.

New Times: What's the secret to being so sexy? Synthetic pheromones? Acqua Di Gio?
Mike Mizanin: Life is hard for a chick magnet. You know that Axe commercial where the guy puts stuff in his hair and the girls just swarm him? That's my day-to-day life, except I don't need hair stuff. It's totally natural. Some people have it and some people don't.

When you first showed up on TV for the Real World, were you already planning a career in pro wrestling?
No. When I got on the Real World, I really didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I kinda had that mentality where you finish high school, then you go on to college, you go back to where you grew up, you get a family, you get a job. That's your life. That's what's gonna happen. But then I realized I could do anything I wanted with my life. And I said, "I wanna be a WWE Superstar."

MIAMI HERALD INTERVIEW - NO MIZ-TAKING SUCCESS OF THIS WWE SUPERSTAR
He's The Miz, and he must be awesome.

With so few spots on the roster -- especially compared to the number of hopefuls worldwide hoping for that one big break -- making it within WWE's sports entertainment empire is a very difficult task.

The Miz met the task head-on, making the most of his opportunity to achieve a spot and then keep it. Not resting on any laurels, the WWE superstar continues to improve, climbing the ladder of success in sports entertainment's top company, on its top TV show.

The Miz is one of the most hated WWE superstars, but that's a good thing, because these sports entertainers want fans to either despise them or love them. Fans do despise The Miz, booing with every look, movement and sound.

The Miz retaliated by becoming a WWE U.S. champ, a WWE tag team champ, a World tag team champ and a WWE Unified tag team champ.

The Miz, in all his glory, will be in South Florida when WWE's top TV show Monday Night Raw visits the AmericanAirlines Arena for a live three-hour special on June 7 in Miami. Cast members from the much-hyped, summer action movie The A-Team will be guest hosts, and the live broadcast begins at 8 p.m. on the USA Network.

What can South Florida fans expect from The Miz on June 7?

``Always expect the unexpected from me,'' Miz said, ``because you never know what's going to happen. It's Monday Night Raw. It's live. It's not taped. It is live in front of the thousands of people in Miami [the AmericanAirlines Arena seats 20,000], live in front of millions of people watching at home [Raw draws 4.5 to 5-million viewers].

``You never know exactly what's going to happen. However, it is a three-hour Raw, so it's definitely going to be a special Raw and with the cast of the [20th Century Fox movie] The A-Team hosting it. So you never know what's going to happen. It's going to be some kind of insanity when we're there in Miami.''
